Sennheiser MX 360 Headphones

7 11 2008

For the third time in around nine months, my Griffin headphones died. Just like the previous two times, the cables were torn apart from the head. After analysing them, I found that the inner cables were shorter, and they were poorly soldered to the head, making them very fragile. The sound quality they deliver is quite good compared to the price, but they’re surely not a good buy if you’re looking for something durable, they’re not the best choice.

Another thing that’s worth remarking is that they’re completely made in China… I know everything this days is made in that motherfucking mediocre country, but there are some things out there that are only manufactured in China, so the only thing that’s bad is the assemblage, but not the making. It’s kind of sad that everything is made in a mediocre country, where quality is worth a shit and the only imporant factor is the price.

Welcome to the real world… I guess.

Whatever, after throwing shit to China, I’ll write what I’m supposed to. So, my headphones broke… Again… I can’t actually survive without my music, I mean… When I’m going to the university, I connect my iPod to my car, when I get there I usually hear music when I can, when I get out, I connect it again to my car, in the afternoon, I connect it to my stereo and when I’m not in my room, I use my headphones. To end my day, I often read a good novel, while I hear my music until I feel sleepy.

I actually needed my headphones back. So, in a desperate moment, I went to Tower and MixUp to look for a decent pair of headphones. To my surprise, the Griffin headphones are not sold anymore in any store. I guess other people had the same problems with them.

I wanted another pair of earbud headphones, but the only ones available were Sony and were way expensive to be Sony… I don’t have anything against Sony, actually I love it… But not for a pair of headphones. In the end, I end up buying the MX 360 by Sennheisser.

To be honest, the quality is good, actually, they sound slightly better than the Griffin headphones. What I absolutely hate, is the comfort… Mainly, because it practically doesn’t exist. They are very rough and big, so they hurt right when you plug them in.

I really want a Bose In-Ear headphones, but they are quite expensive. I’ll save money and I’ll buy them, hopefully before the end of the year. For now, I’ll put my new Sennheiser headphones to good use. Right now, I’m hearing Animal Instict, from Amduscia’s new album, Madness in Abyss, as I’ll write a review of it for monday.

Ohh and by the way, I’m back.
